I made this recipe myself, so I know it is an original!
Broccoli, potato, and cheese soup serves about 6, can easily be doubled
1 head of broccoli, stem & all
about 2 good sized potatoes
1 package of shredded cheese
1 can of cheddar cheese soup
1 can of your fav cream soup
1 soup can of milk
Take the broccoli stem, cut off any bad parts, then chop it up into small pieces, & let boil in enough water to cover until soft, about 1/2 hour. Now mash it up, (there will still be some chunks) While your broccoli is boiling, take your potatoes, (do not peel), and cut them into bite sized pieces, & when you have finished mashing the cooked broccoli, add the potatoes & let them cook for about 5 minutes. You want them soft but not mushy. Now add the rest of the ingrediants, including the broccoli flowerets, cut into small pieces. Do not let it boil past this point, or your milk will curdle & you will have a mess. Add a little texas peter or whatever else kind of seasoning you want. Also, if it is too thick, add some water to the mix. Everyone will think you worked all day on this easy easy soup.
